Fluorocarbon-free DWRs however may be less durable and need reproofing on a more regular basis. This is a trade-off we have consciously made for the good of the environment and the well-being of humans and animals. Knowing this, we recommend that you apply Hajk Textile Waterproofing, or similar fluorocarbon-free DWR, on your Hajk pants after a handful of washes to sustain full repellence.

There are a few types of DWR-treatments, the most common of which are fluorocarbon DWRs. However, these treatments have been hardly criticised in recent time as they are known to contain chemicals which can cause damage to the environment, humans, and animals. Because of this, we opt to use only fluorocarbon-free DRW-treatments. And of course, our Hajk Textile Waterproofing is free from fluorocarbons.

We use a fluorocarbon free DWR-treatment on all Hajk pants to afford the fabric a water and dirt repellent surface – improving the lifespan and performance of the pants.
